One solution, EXIT PROGRAMS: Reach out to LIFE AFTER HATE , a non-profit intervention organization founded in 2011 by individuals who have walked away from violent extremism, with a goal “to interrupt violence committed in the name of ideological or religious beliefs, building a safer society by making it possible for people to break free from lives of violent hate and extremism through evidence-based interventions.” A multidisciplinary team of nonprofit professionals, case managers, licensed mental health specialists, and peer mentors–individuals who have walked away from violent extremism. does this through education, interventions, academic research, and outreach

Think of KURW as the Southern Utah Yearbook 2020 of extremism and bigotry. KURW posts are based on collected screenshots of public social media posts (mostly Facebook), photos & videos of public personal activity and accessible public legal action shared by or engaged by residents of Kanab, Utah (Kane County) and those who reside outside of Kane County but engage in local public events, with local social media groups and with residents already on Hatewatch by KURW. The majority of the evidence was gathered June 2020-Dec 2021.
