(updated 12/28/2022) One hundred and seventy five (175) area residents engage with Kanab Patriots FB page promoting hate, bigotry, disinformation, personal attacks, business attacks, extremism, war cries, carry weapons against neighbors, public health disregard and defense of criminal behavior including embracing locals who went to DC January 6th to attack democracy (see KURW post Insurrectionists from Kanab Area). 4/4: Google Presentation of the Founders of Kanab Patriots

Co-founders Jeff Schwilk & Tana Kou moved to Kanab from Southern California in 2018. Jeff had some legal battles with hate groups that he founded and/or led there and already had other FB extremists pages before starting his first local page “Kanabians for Slow, Sensible Growth” then “Kanab Conservative Activism” now “Kanab Patriots.” The Southern Poverty Law Center (non-profit U.S. organization monitoring the activities of domestic hate groups and other extremists) exposed Schwilk’s activities from 2007-2018.
